Factors to improve quality in bearing production

Bearings are the most important parts in machinery. The quality of use is the first choice for bearings. In order to improve the quality of bearings during the production process, today we will tell you how to improve the quality requirements of bearings in production from five major aspects.

1. The motor assembly site should be kept clean. After the bearings are greased, dust is not allowed to fly on the site. The parts matched with the bearings must be strictly inspected before assembly, and any tiny link cannot be ignored. For example, if the shoulder of the shaft where the shaft and the bearing meet is rooted and has no fillet, it is easy to cause stress concentration during operation and break the shaft at this point; if the fillet is too large, or it is not in place during grinding, the interference of the inner ring will exceed the tolerance when the bearing is installed, or the bearing cannot be in place, which are the root causes of premature damage to the bearing.

2. The quality of dynamic balance is a crucial factor affecting the life of the bearing. The larger the motor and the higher the speed, the higher the quality requirements for dynamic balance.

3. The coaxiality of the parts related to the bearings - the base, end cover, rotor, inner and outer covers of the bearings should be good, and ensure that they are not damaged due to deformation of the parts during the operation of the motor. Larger parts, such as machine bases and end covers, must be aged.

4. The machining accuracy of parts related to bearings should be improved. Because the machining accuracy of the bearing itself is very high, and when the bearing is matched with related parts, a very small amount of interference will cause damage to the bearing. Practice has verified that the tolerance band can be controlled within the range of about 0.02mm by using a CNC machine tool equipped with a "fixed-size tool" to process the bearing chamber. The roughness of the inner and outer rings of the bearing should also be improved as much as possible, otherwise, after multiple disassembly and assembly, the "knife peak" of the metal processing is worn off, and the matching tolerance of the original design will also change.

5. The amount of grease should be appropriate, otherwise the bearing will heat up. If the ambient temperature is higher than 40℃, a grease with a higher penetration should be used. On the contrary, a grease with a lower penetration or a special grease should be used.

It is inevitable that the bearing will fail during use. If the quality of the bearing is improved, it depends on how the bearing is used. When choosing a bearing, we can also understand it through the above five aspects, and refer to the quality of the bearing.
